Dr. Fordyce

Dr. Cynthia Fordyce obtained her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. She did postgraduate work in Biophysics at Georgia Tech before studying veterinary medicine at the University of Georgia, graduating in 1981. Dr. Fordyce is a member of the Greater Atlanta Veterinary Medical Society, Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, and American Association of Feline Practioners. She has been on the board of the VCA DeKalb-Gwinnett Animal Emergency Hospital for over a decade. A Eucharistic Minister, Chairman of the More Eats Committee, Parish Life Commission Captain on the Stewardship Committee, and Capital Campaign Cabinet Member at St. Thomas More Church, Dr. Fordyce has also served as President of the Parish Council and assisted refugees through the St. Vincent de Paul Society. For fun Dr. Fordyce reads, walks the dogs in the woods, plays tennis year around with ALTA and USTA, snorkels, and has attended all the Summer Olympics since they were here in Atlanta in 1996. Three dogs and three cats (stray or abandoned, of course) keep her busy at home. "It's humbling to walk in the door and have each one of them excited to see me even though they can tell that I have been with other dogs and cats!" Dr. Fordyce would share, as she does when she makes school Career Day visits, that she is blessed to be doing what she loves.

Dr. Clingnepeel

Dr. Susan Clingenpeel practiced small animal medicine for 9 years following graduation in Richmond, VA. She then began a career as an emergency clinic veterinarian. She has returned to small animal day practice in order to have more time with her family. She loves to garden and grows approximately 250 roses. She has two labrador retrievers, Lily and Tip. They are both certified therapy dogs. They volunteer at two local elementary schools in the "Read to Rover" program. Lily is a competitive obedience and agility dog and they trial in their freetime (which isn't very much). In addition to Lily and Tip, she has 3 cats: Grant, Oliver and Lucy; 2 goats: Grace and Mozart; 1 turtle: Delilah; and 6 fish: unnamed. Dr. Clingenpeel has loved animals since she was a little girl. She grew up riding horses. She believes that "life isn't complete unless you share it wih an animal".

Dr. Murray

Dr. Paula Murray attended Tuskegee Institute where she obtained her undergraduate degree and went on to complete her graduate studies with a Doctoral Degree (DVM) from that university's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. An Atlanta resident of 23 years, Dr. Murray was born and raised on the island nation of Trinidad and Tobago. She studies classical piano along with her 17 year old son. An active Explorer Scout leader, Dr. Murray enjoys bowling, volleyball and reading. Three dogs and four cats (all rescued) round out the Murray household.
